It snows more during the warm times
This is a plot of ice accumulation for the Antarctic. You can see that there are bumps in the data during the times that correspond to the warm times. The older bumps were as large as the more recent bumps when they occurred, but they have been compressed by thousands of years and tons of weight on top of them.
